As we've experienced during most of our US travel - we are a bit behind schedule. It is 6am and we still have a good portion of Washington to navigate. Expect a later-than-8pm pickup in Prince George this evening.
It is quiet on the bus this morning - sounds like most are getting some rest. Last night I sat about one third of the way back on the bus...in perfect position to hear a fusion of worship: the younger generation led by Derek Joyce (guitar) and Peter Stauffer (bongos) in the back; and the old(er) generation led by our driver, Gil, with his old time gospel song and strum. Good stuff.
Gotta run...see you soon!

Just spoke with Mr. Brown - and our group made a safe arrival at just after 10pm. Some great closing reflections and sharing from our hearts - and a great time of worship as the group arrived in PG...to the eager arms of parents!
Thanks so much for all who prayed for us and supported this life-changing 12 days. You have NOT heard the end of what God will do with this investment! We look forward to how God will multiply one-hundred times what He did in the hearts of the students and leaders of this group!
Praise God!

Teen we miss you sooooooooooooo much! Everyday since you have been gone we have checked the blog and your schedule to see where you are and where you have been. We have been praying constantly for the team's safety, bonding, spiritual growth, fun, and friendship. From what we read on the blog, we believe that, as a team, all of these prayers have been answered! Glory be to God!!! We love you and can't wait to see you. If I am not at the bus, I will be in the classroom. PLEASE come find me if I don't find you first.
ReplyDeleteLOVE AND BLESSINGS, Mom! Dad and Steph, too. :)
Could someone email or text a parent and let them know what time to expect you? Or something like that? I don't mind phoning some of the other parents, or all, if you'd like - just need their names.

Back home in PG off on a family holiday. Were having fun being together and Allix and I are sharing about our Mission to Mexico. What a life changing experience. Through laughter and tears we the Cedars Team learned even more about each other and God's Heart for the hurting and lost. Why we have so much and others not enough was a question on my mind. The words Lord send me! I have heard and sang and said in my prayers many time are intimately engraved in my heart with memories so touching. The loving Mexico people that say hello everywhere, the children with big smiles on their faces, hugging and playing games with our group. They don't have enough food or shelter, the hurting that have overcome drug & alcohol abuse with a 90 % success rate with the Lord. The blessing of the Missions that looks after the children and their families. They have laid down their life to the Lord. Please continue to pray for these ministries. They have plans in the works for a daycare/church at the large workcamp. For the Wonderful youth, young adults. teachers, parents that became world changers for God on this trip. There was not one complaint by any! The Joy of the Lord was evident and His Peace was upon us! Gods Blessings to you for all your Prayers
ReplyDeleteThank you for sending your Precious Children they showed the Heart of the Father in so many ways! Love & Prayers

I, too, am grateful for this mission trip into Mexico. It was such a learning experience for me and the Lord taught me some valuable lessons. Now, to apply those lessons here back home in PG will be the new experience. The people are so happy with so little - we need to incorporate that into our own lives. Dependent on the Lord is where I want to be!
ReplyDeleteMany of us came back with head colds, for me it was pneumonia. So, I am resting and learning from the Lord what else He has in mind for me.... He must have something as He has "laid me down" for a time.
I would also like to say that Mr. Nelson and Mr. Brown were excellent leaders and in every situation, they exercised God's wisdom and love. God Bless both of you! Mrs. Davis
